PE is defined as ejaculation that occurs sooner than desired in a way that causes distress. It is usually less about an exact number and more about feeling unable to delay ejaculation when you want to. According to the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, PE is clinically defined as ejaculation within about 2 minutes of penetration that causes distress to a man or his partner.
How does paroxetine help with PE?
Paroxetine is an SSRI that increases serotonin activity, which has a documented effect of delaying ejaculation. It's one of the most studied pharmacologic treatments for PE and has been shown in clinical trials to significantly increase ejaculation latency time.
How long does PE treatment take to work?
